Image dimensions 26×17.5cm, printed on Somerset Satin, 250gsm, following the reduction printing method. Framed size (in mount card) would be approx. 45x35cm.
This is a one block ‘reduction’ lino print. This means that after the first colour is printed, the lino block is further ‘reduced’ (more lino removed from the surface) before each consecutive colour is printed, each time partly overlaying the previous colour.
This print is an homage to my mother who loved and had a lifelong special relationship with all kind of trees. I imagine her sailing among the tree tops in that little white cloud.
